Raveno Help

Marketplace FAQ

Common questions about pricing, currency, escrow, disputes, and how the marketplace works.

Pricing & fees

What does Raveno charge?

5% all-in. Plus GST where applicable. Deducted from the supplier's payout at release. Stripe processing fees absorbed inside the 5%. See Pricing.

Are there any subscription or listing fees?

No. The 5% per-transaction fee is the only thing we charge. No subscriptions, no listing fees, no featured placement, no withdrawal fees.

Why 5% — that's lower than most marketplaces?

Trust-building choice for the pilot phase of a merchant-seeded marketplace. Economics may revisit at scale, but any change applies only to engagements quoted after the change effective date, with at least 30 days' notice.

Will GST apply to my transaction?

The platform fee will have GST added where applicable to the merchant under Australian taxation law. During the pilot phase, projected platform-fee revenue sits below the AU GST threshold (AUD $75,000/year), so most transactions will not have GST charged. We'll update this and our Pricing page if our scale changes.

Currency & FX

What currency are quotes in?

The merchant's default currency. For Australian merchants that's AUD by default. International merchants set their own default at signup.

Does Raveno do FX?

No — Stripe does. When the supplier's Stripe Connect account is in a different currency to the project, Stripe handles the FX on the Transfer leg, applying their published rate at transfer time. The supplier sees the FX'd amount and rate in their Stripe Express dashboard.

Escrow & timing

How long are funds held in escrow?

During public beta: 48 hours from when the supplier marks delivery, unless the merchant approves earlier or opens a dispute. At general availability the window will increase to 14 days.

Why was the window compressed for beta?

To give the first creator cohort a tighter feedback loop. We will publicly update How it works and Refunds & disputes when the window increases.

Can the auto-release window be extended for a single project?

In practice, opening a dispute before the timer fires effectively pauses it pending admin review. There is no merchant-controlled extension within the standard flow. If you need more time as a merchant, dispute (you can withdraw it later if the supplier addresses your concerns).

When does the supplier actually receive the money?

On release, Raveno creates a Stripe Transfer to the supplier's Stripe Connect account — typically within seconds. From the Connect account, Stripe's standard payout schedule applies to the supplier's bank (configurable in the supplier's Stripe Express dashboard).

Quotes, deliveries, disputes

Can a supplier withdraw a quote?

Yes — at any time before the merchant accepts. After the merchant has paid, the project must complete (delivery → approval / auto-release / dispute / cancel by the merchant pre-delivery).

Can a merchant cancel after paying?

Yes — before the supplier marks delivery, the merchant can cancel and the funds are refunded in full to their card. After delivery, the path is approve / dispute / wait for auto-release.

What happens if I don't approve or dispute in time?

The auto-release timer fires and the funds release to the supplier (less the 5% platform fee). You'll receive notifications as the deadline approaches.

Who decides disputes?

Raveno admin, on the basis of the in-thread audit trail and any delivery files. Decisions target within 5 business days. See Refunds & disputes.

Can I appeal a dispute decision?

Admin decisions are final under our internal venue but they don't override your rights under applicable law. See Terms §13.

Onboarding & vetting

How do suppliers get on Raveno?

Only by referral from an existing merchant. We don't run open self-serve supplier signup at this stage. Every supplier joins through a real merchant relationship.

What does Stripe Connect Express onboarding involve?

Stripe-hosted KYC: legal name, address, date of birth, ID details, bank account. Same flow other Stripe-Connect marketplaces use.

How long does supplier approval take?

Typically same-day or next-business-day, given the merchant-referral filter. Larger applications (e.g. agencies with multiple sub-contractors) may take longer.

Can a supplier work with multiple merchants on Raveno?

Yes. A supplier can be invited by multiple merchants. Each merchant–supplier relationship has its own chat thread and project history.

Data & privacy

What customer data does Raveno share with my supplier?

Only what you explicitly share as part of a brief. Raveno does not unilaterally surface shopper data to suppliers. When you share, Supplier Agreement §8 and our Privacy Policy govern: confidentiality, purpose-limitation, deletion on completion.

Where is my data stored?

See Privacy Policy §4. Some service providers operate outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure recipients are bound by privacy obligations substantially similar to Australian Privacy Principle 8.

Off-platform

Can I take a Raveno-introduced relationship off-platform?

Not on the introduced project, for the duration of the engagement and 12 months after. Existing direct relationships you had before Raveno are unaffected. See Merchant Agreement §8 and Supplier Agreement §7.

Why is there an off-platform restriction?

It protects the marketplace. The 5% platform fee covers the dispute-resolution venue, the audit trail, the payment infrastructure, and the customer-intelligence data layer that suppliers receive with every brief. Pulling work off-platform mid-engagement extracts value from the platform without paying the cost of running it.
