Pricing

Raveno marketplace fee structure — flat 5% all-in, no subscriptions.

The headline

5% all-in. Plus GST where applicable.

The 5% is deducted from the supplier's payout at release.

What "all-in" means

Stripe charges payment-processing fees on every card transaction (typically ~1.7% Visa/Mastercard for Australian domestic cards, ~2.7% for AmEx, plus surcharges for international cards). On most marketplace platforms, the supplier pays both the platform's take rate AND the underlying Stripe processing fee, often as separate line items.

On Raveno, Raveno absorbs the Stripe processing inside the 5%. The supplier sees one clean fee line — 5% — regardless of which card the merchant pays with or where the supplier is based.

This means Raveno's net margin varies with payment method (less when AmEx is used, more for domestic Visa/Mastercard). That's a deliberate choice — we wanted the supplier-side disclosure to be one number, no asterisks.

Worked example

A merchant accepts a quote of AUD $1,000.00.

LineAmount
Merchant pays$1,000.00
Platform fee (5%)$50.00
Supplier receives (gross)$950.00

Raveno pays the Stripe processing fee from its $50.00 (so on a domestic Visa transaction, Raveno's net is roughly $33; on an AmEx, roughly $23). The supplier's $950 is unaffected.

GST

Where applicable to the merchant's transaction, GST will be added per Australian taxation requirements. The platform application notes Year-1 platform-fee revenue projections sit below the AU GST threshold (AUD $75,000/year), so during pilot most transactions will not have GST charged. We will publicly update this page if our scale changes such that GST consistently applies.

Currency

Quotes are made in the merchant's default currency:

  • Australian merchants — AUD by default.
  • International merchants — set by the merchant at signup.

Where the supplier's Stripe Connect account is in a different currency, Stripe handles the FX on the Transfer leg at transfer time. Suppliers see the FX'd amount in their Stripe Express dashboard with the rate Stripe applied.

What we don't charge

  • No subscription fees. No monthly platform-access charge for merchants or suppliers.
  • No listing fees. Suppliers are invited; there is no paid placement.
  • No featured-listing fees. No advertising surface inside the marketplace.
  • No payment-processing surcharge. Stripe fees are absorbed inside the 5%.
  • No withdrawal fees. Stripe's standard payout schedule applies; Raveno does not add a fee on top.

When the take rate may change

We have locked the 5% all-in for the pilot phase as a deliberate trust-building choice for the merchant-seeded model. Economics may revisit at scale — possibly to align with industry norms (10–20%) — but any change will:

  • Apply only to engagements quoted after the change effective date.
  • Be communicated by email to all active merchants and suppliers at least 30 days before taking effect.
  • Be reflected on this page with the updated effective date.

Engagements quoted before a change will complete on the rate they were quoted under.

Where the fee is disclosed

The 5% take rate is disclosed:

  • On this page.
  • In the Merchant Agreement §3.
  • In the Supplier Agreement §5.
  • At the moment of quote acceptance — the Accept & Pay confirmation shows the exact platform fee in dollars before the merchant confirms.
  • On every project record (application_fee_cents).

Disclosure is up-front and machine-readable; nothing is buried.
